While a jewelry designer dreams up new jewels, a goldsmith uses their hands, tools and artisanal expertise to make a designer’s dream a reality. London-based Ming Lampson is a designer/goldsmith presenting her first exhibition in New York at the Stephen Russell Gallery from Wednesday October 25 through Saturday October 28. Consisting of 25 one-of-a-kind jewels, the show is entitled “Origins” and so is the 25-piece Origins collection of necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets. The show came about through the creative efforts of London-based jewelry author and Vivarium curator Vivienne Becker.
