THREE YEARS AGO, the fabulous 5000 woke up to invites beckoning them to Palladium pajama parties (bring your own teddy bear), Area science fiction salutes, and Limelight “Downtown Divas” musical revues of cabaret singers and chanteuses singing songs like “Since I Fell for You” and “It’s Only Make Believe.” Today, they’re warmly invited to stripathons, fetish balls, “All-Male Emporiums of Flesh and Fantasy” (with “realistic streetcorner action!”), and Lady Hennessy Brown squirting milk from her capacious ta-tas.
