The movie ‘Cyrano’ revisits the 1897 play “Cyrano de Bergerac” as a musical. The songs in “Cyrano” were performed live to film.
Peter Dinklage of “Game of Thrones” fame plays Cyrano. He’s in love with Roxanne but too afraid to tell her. Instead, he writes lyrical lines and letters to her for Christian, the man Roxanne loves.
“Anyone could play Cyrano,” Dinklage said. “I’m doing it because, yes, I do have a built-in difference that I could relate to. But I think what the movie speaks to is that everyone knows that feeling.”
