New documentary traces the roots of racism in America

The documentary “Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America” takes a close look at today’s problems with racism and how it began hundreds of years ago. 

Emily and Sarah Kunstler made the documentary after meeting Jeffery Robinson, a former ACLU deputy legal director.

In the film, Robinson states that white privilege doesn’t mean white people haven’t worked hard, but that it means white people walked through the world differently than Black and brown people in America. 

Robinson began researching racism in America a decade ago to educate his young nephew on the subject, but it’s Robinson who received the education and learned things he had never heard
