Jordyn announced her engagement to New York Knicks player, Karl-Anthony Towns, to Instagram on Christmas Day, sharing several adorable snaps of the moment the basketball player got down on one knee.
Friends and fans alike flocked to the comments section of the post and had nothing but sweet things to say about Jordyn and KAT taking the next major step in their relationship.
Olandria from Love Island USA checked in, and wrote, “Family!!!!! So happy for you queen, congratulations 🥹🤍🤍🤍✨,” while Bella Hadid added, “OMG!!! Congrats sweet girl!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Kylie, who was best friends with Jordyn until 2019, also offered a sweet comment and wrote, “Jordyyyyyyy 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺.”
Jordyn and KAT didn’t start dating until 2020, a year after she and Kylie stopped being friends. As a little history lesson, Kylie and Jordyn’s relationship was put on serious ice after Jordyn was caught kissing Tristan Thompson, the then-boyfriend of Kylie’s sister, Khloé Kardashian. Khloé didn’t break up with Tristan until 2021, which led to a major strain on Jordyn and Kylie’s friendship.
“I love [Kylie]. That’s my homie. I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier,” Jordyn told Cosmopolitan UK in 2019. “A lot of people can be around when things are good, but you don’t know who’s really around until things are bad. … We were just all young kids, and you know what it’s like—everyone’s friends, everyone’s around, and you just build connections.”
By 2023, a source Us Weekly that Khloé had finally given Kylie the green light to reconnect with Jordyn. “Kylie was the one to reach out to Jordyn,” the source said. “She missed her and felt enough time had passed and they wanted to meet up.”
Kylie and Jordyn even hang out from time to time—in a 2024 episode of The Kardashians, Kylie revealed that she spent some time with Jordyn during Paris Fashion Week.
“I saw Jordyn again in Paris. It was fun. I think we have like a lot more like healthy distance in the relationship,” Kylie said during the episode. “Now it’s like, we talk once a month. I think what I do love now is that the narrative about us online is also over. People know that we’re cool and no one’s talking about it anymore.”
