Frank DiLella’s theater picks: ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray,’ ‘Amerikin’ and more

With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to decide what to see. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of must-see shows this week, guiding you to the best of Broadway, Off-Broadway and beyond.

‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’

Emmy Award winner Sarah Snook, best known for HBO’s “Succession,” is on stage this spring, taking on more than two dozen characters in Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. The show marks Snook’s Broadway debut at the Music Box Theatre. She will appear on “On Stage” Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

‘Amerikin’

Over on the Off-Broadway scene, don’t miss Amerikin, presented by Primary Stages. Written by Chisa Hutchinson, the play is set in small-town Maryland, where audiences meet Jeff Browning — a father determined to give his son every possible advantage. Amerikin explores the lengths people go to protect their own and the lies they sometimes tell themselves. The show is running at 59E59 Theaters.
