“The Day I Accidentally Went to War”
Comedian and “Shrinking” co-writer Bill Posley returns to the stage with an encore presentation of “The Day I Accidentally Went to War.” The show is both a funny and heartbreaking look into the veteran experience. Posley recently stopped by the “On Stage” studio to share more about his solo work. “The Day I Accidentally Went to War” is now playing at the Soho Playhouse.

“Rolling Thunder”
Moving now to Midtown’s New World Stages, and keeping with the theme of war, check out “Rolling Thunder.” Set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War, “Rolling Thunder” tells a story of courage and resilience as four soldiers are enlisted to serve. The jukebox score features tunes like “We Gotta Get Out of This Place,” “What’s Going On?” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

“Gene and Gilda”
At 59E59 Theaters, the late greats Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner are being brought to life on stage by Jordan Kai Burnett and Jonathan Randell Silver. The new play “Gene and Gilda” explores the friendship between these comic geniuses — one that ultimately blossomed into an enduring romance.

“Bonnie and Clyde”
And finally, looking to escape the city? Head on out to the Bay Street Theater for “Bonnie and Clyde.” Featuring a score by Frank Wildhorn and direction by Scott Schwartz, “Bonnie and Clyde” tells the story of two of the country’s most notorious outlaws. The show plays until the end of August.
