With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.
“Ragtime”
The hit revival of “Ragtime” has been extended through June 14 at Lincoln Center Theater. The story follows three families in pursuit of the American Dream at the turn of the 20th century. The musical stars Joshua Henry, Caissie Levy and Tony Award-winner Brandon Uranowitz, who says there’s a powerful timeliness to telling this story in 2026. The company of “Ragtime” will join “On Stage” this weekend at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
“Oedipus”
Heading now to Midtown, the hit London production of Robert Icke’s “Oedipus” will conclude its run this weekend at Studio 54. This modern retelling of the Sophocles tragedy stars Mark Strong and Lesley Manville.
“Blackout Songs”
On the off-Broadway front, playing now at The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater, check out “Blackout Songs.” This new play explores a complicated relationship that begins when two people meet by chance at an AA meeting. Screen actors Abbey Lee and Owen Teague star in the show.

Isaac Mizrahi at Café Carlyle
And finally, from now through Feb. 21, the one and only Isaac Mizrahi returns to The Café Carlyle with his new show called “A.I. Artificial Isaac.” Expect to hear tunes made famous by Cy Coleman and Laura Nyro. Plus, Mizrahi’s signature commentary on the current state of the world.
