Surprise, Justin Theroux is going to be a dad. Which is definitely NEWS especially for those of us who had no idea Justin (who just joined Fallout for season 2!) was even dating someone. Like, truly, my personal understanding of this man is best summarized by the words “leather jacket,” “motorcycle,” and “Ray’s.”
But turns out, he’s been in a relationship with Nicole Brydon Bloom for several minutes, and now only are they married, but they’re expecting their first child together! So…it’s time to get to know her. First up:
They Got Married in Mexico

They Got Engaged in Italy
The couple happened to be in town for the 2024 Venice Film Festival, which seems like as good a place as any to debut your giant diamond engagement ring.
They’re Pretty Private
Justin mentioned their ’ship during a 2023 Esquire article but only in regards to his preference for privacy: “I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we’re in. Having been in a public relationship, it’s much more fun not being in a public relationship.”
Meanwhile, Nicole’s been a little more verbose, telling Jimmy Kimmel about Justin’s proposal and saying, “He was very romantic… He did it properly. It was very sweet, just the two of us.”
They Met Through Mutual Friends
Justin said as much on The Drew Barrymore Show, explaining, “A friend of mine who was with me, literally the quote was, ‘That’s the one.’ Like, we hadn’t even met yet. And I was like, ‘She’s so stunning.’ So I went over and started talking and things like that and it progressed.”
Fun fact: Said friend was Meryl Streep’s daughter, Louisa Jacobson, who (per Vogue) introduced them at a private party at the Lower Manhattan bar The Nines.
Her Dad Was a Famous Journalist
Nicole’s father was NBC News journalist David Bloom, who died from a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) at the age of 39 while covering the war in Iraq.
Her mother, Melanie, told Today, “We had braced ourselves for all the war-related dangers that that assignment entailed. But when I got that call, I had never heard of DVT myself and I don’t think David ever had. The more I learned, the more shocked I was. It wasn’t an IED or a bomb that took his life. It was this DVT.”
Nicole ended up enrolling at Elon University for journalism, following in her dad’s footsteps but ended up graduating with a degree in acting.
She told the school’s paper, “They were so encouraging of me taking risks as an actor. In auditions, it is really easy to fall into, ‘What do I think casting directors are looking for and how do I fit into that?’ And that can be very limiting. Elon was so good about emphasizing finding a way to make the character you, instead of what you think it should be.”
She Stars in The Gilded Age

They’re Expecting Their First Child
In December 2025, People broke the news that Nicole is pregnant and expecting her first child! Nicole later (subtly) confirmed the news herself with an Instagram video:
