The #FreeBritney era is over and the #FreedBritney era has begun.
On Friday, the singer won her legal battle to end the conservatorship that’s controlled her life for the last 13 years when Los Angeles judge Brenda Penny ruled in her favor, ending the conservatorship effective immediately, according to the New York Times.
The 39-year-old singer had been under the conservatorship since 2008, with her father, Jamie Spears, in charge of her health and financial decisions for most of that time (he was removed from the role in September).
