If you’re reading this, it’s time to start planning your November outfits. We’re smack in the middle of jeans-and-a-leather jacket weather—and friends, you had best take full advantage. Sweaters! Boots! Bomber Jackets! Scarves! Trench coats! Pantsuits! Your cold-weather wardrobe has never looked better.
And the timing is perfect, because the month ahead is already pre-scheduled with events. You’ll probably kick off the first days of November with a Halloween party or two, before heading straight into a variety of Seasonal Activities (read: cozy dinner parties, wineries, corn mazes, etc.). Then, at the end of the month comes the holiday celebrations, with Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving both on the docket—not to mention all the happy hours, Hinge dates, and seasonal latte runs in between.
But don’t worry, because I’ve pulled together all the cutest November-coded outfits that combine the fall staples you’ll be repeating all season long. Ahead, skim through stylish ways to wear all your favorites.
Smart Layering
Winter layers don’t have to be scarves and sweaters and beanies. Pile on the office staples like a button-down, trench coat, and turtleneck for a cozy ‘fit that looks polished as hell.
Long Dress and a Long Coat
This is a well-kept fashion editor secret that never disappoints: A maxi dress with an ankle-length coat. The combo offers warmth in the chicest way. Tuck this look in your back pocket for your next Friendsgiving.
Everything Red
Monochromatic looks are bold by definition, but none so much as a bright, cherry red.
Faux Fur and Camouflage
Luxe fur coats and camo pants are different aesthetics entirely. But there’s just something about the combo that works together like street style magic.
Suede and a Sweater
Happy suede season to all who celebrate! But don’t forget, this fabric is useful for more than just jackets and shoes. Try a pencil skirt for a fresh take on the classic workwear look and a chic Thanksgiving outfit to boot.
A Leather Bomber and Matching Mini
Whenever I’m in a style rut, my first move is to throw on some leather. It’s directly correlated with how chic you look: More leather, more style.
A Track Jacket and Trousers
This might be my favorite outfit on the whole list, because it just feels so effortlessly badass. I recommend shopping for a vintage track jacket on Depop, instead of buying new.
Leopard Pants
My leopard pants have a chronic backache from carrying my entire fall wardrobe on their shoulders. Add a pair to your closet and unlock unlimited styling potential.
Winter Whites
It can be tempting (and I mean really tempting) to just throw on an all-black look and go. Styling mixed neutrals is just as easy, but feels much more curated.
Polka Dots and a Barn Jacket
When barn jackets hit it big earlier this year, I wasn’t immediately convinced. But styling the utilitarian piece with a super dressy skirt makes the look feel interesting and decidedly cool.
Skirt Over Pants
Slightly controversial? Maybe so. But this look combines warmth and style—which is pretty much all you look for in a November outfit.
A Knit Kerchief
Scarves walked so that the 2025 knit handkerchief trend could run. Make it feel elegant and polished by styling with a sweater in the same exact color.
A White Blazer
As a lifelong all-black girlie, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the recent addition of a white blazer to my wardrobe. At first glance, it may seem intensely bridal, but when mixed with cool black basics and chunky metallic jewelry, it reads incredibly chic.
A Bandeau and Bomber
Get one last use out of your favorite bra top by styling it with cargos and your coziest bomber jacket. It’s a perfect casual night-out look if you live in a warmer climate but still want to get in on those November vibes!
A Brown Suit
Black suits get all the attention, but believe me when I tell you chocolate brown sets hit just as hard.
