Perkins Eastman expands executive committee for 2026

Global design practice Perkins Eastman announces the appointment of three new leaders to the firm’s Executive Committee. Heather Jauregui, Sean O’Donnell, and Emily Pierson-Brown join the team tasked with providing firmwide strategic oversight. With twenty-six global studios worldwide, the practice is guided by its Human by Design ethos—aiming to make a lasting and positive impact on human experience one project, site, and community at a time.

These three individuals join Bradford Perkins, Mary-Jean Eastman, Andrew Adelhardt, Shawn Basler, Nick Leahy, Hilary Bertsch, Jeffrey Brand, Paul J. Grillo, Salema Gumbs, Stephanie Kingsnorth, Supriya Thyagarajan, and Jeff Young to provide strategic direction across the firm and position it for future growth.

  • Heather Jauregui, principal and director of sustainability, leads the firmwide sustainability team and related research initiatives to educate staff and promote sustainable design in the industry and beyond. With fifteen years of experience across architecture, research, and sustainability, her data-informed approach has led to a number of high-performing projects and professional accolades.
  • Sean O’Donnell, principal and K-12 education practice leader, brings thirty years of design leadership in school Leveraging a research-based planning and design process, he has helped schools worldwide transform their facilities into inspiring and joyful, sustainable, healthy, high-performance places to learn. He serves as a trusted advisor to clients, a sought after thought leader in education. Sean also serves as co-director of the Consortium for Design and Education Outcomes.
  • Emily Pierson-Brown, associate principal, people culture manager, and senior living practice co-leader, Emily leads the firm’s Inclusion & Belonging efforts, and she will amplify this work across the global network and in collaboration with industry partners. She applies the same level of dedication—and twenty years of design experience—to her creation of enriching environments for seniors.
