American Ballet Theatre hosted its Fall Gala to showcase Lifted
ABT’s Fall season is well underway at David H. Koch Theater. Last night’s Fall Gala brought out the city’s most stylish patrons of the arts to witness the world premiere of Christopher Rudd’s new ballet Lifted. The ballet features a cast and crew made up entirely of Black dancers and creatives, including New York-based designer Carly Cushnie for costumes. Gala attendees gathered to watch the performance, which is set to music by Kennedy Center Composer-in-Residence Carlos Simon with a live orchestra led by Conductor Roderick Cox.
