Andrés Jaque, an architect, curator, and artist who currently serves as Associate Professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP), has been appointed as dean.
Jaque, who leads GSAPP’s Master of Science in Program in Advanced Architecture Design, replaces WORKac cofounder Amale Andraos.
Andraos announced that she would be stepping down from the role in May 2021, with her term ending at the end of last year. Weiping Wu stepped in interim dean in the months following the departure of Andraos, who had served as dean beginning in 2014. She vacated the role to serve as a special advisor to
