Dr. Anthony Vine and his team carefully analyze their patient. A CT scan is a common diagnostic tool, but this patient is different. It’s not a person, it’s a 300-year-old Stradivarius violin.
“You see, on the surface you have the beautiful grain on the spruce. You can’t tell there happens to be a little patch underneath this side of the bridge, but it’s done so expertly there’s no evidence of it on the top,” said Vine, describing the quality of the instrument.
