Lyon-topia, a project for the resilience of Lyon’s territory
A physical manifestation of hydromorphological balance is the prerequisite for the existence of a landscape and all life form. To bring a territory towards its resilience, it is above all necessary to redefine its morphological foundations in order to re-establish a healthy base, and this is achieved by focusing on the essential structures.
Essential structures are thus the natural and anthropic hydraulic systems of a territory which is a structural invariant constituting the primary geographical environment of equilibrium. However, these structures are highly impacted by climate change associated with floods, high water, rising water tables and severe droughts.
