AN has closed our offices in solidarity with the general strike taking place today, Friday, January 30, with the goal of keeping our communities safe.

As the country responds to the violence in Minnesota that has resulted from ICE and Border Patrol activities, we recognize the difficulty of these times and the urgency for people to make their voices heard.
AN recognizes that the built environment is made (and can be unmade) by many hands, including immigrants who are often the ones constructing the buildings and landscapes designed by architects and landscape architects. Past stories in AN have addressed the concerns of these workers.
With our events across North America and our publications, AN also recognizes the value of supporting architecture and design culture across borders. As experts, materials, and ideas circulate around the world, AN is committed to progressive coverage that informs, educates, challenges, and delights our professional audience.
