2 min readIf there’s one person I look to for shopping, dating, and career advice, it’s Paige DeSorbo. Never mind that it’s a parasocial friendship! The Daphne founder and former Summer House star is full of wisdom—usually delivered in the form of a razor-sharp one-liner. Her skincare advice for men? “Probably being quiet.” Whether you should pack a workout ‘fit for vacay? “Literally never.” And honestly, that’s all the evidence you should need to trust her, too.
So! When I needed a lil holiday gifting lesson, Paige was the only logical call. To celebrate season two of her Amazon Live series, In Bed With Paige DeSorbo (which, by the way, premiered earlier tonight), our anti-gatekeeping queen served up the best prezzies of the season on a silver platter. I got to talk one-on-one with Paige, and her recs are endless! Best last-minute buy? UGGs. More specifically, the mini boot with the platform. Her fave stocking stuffers? “Face masks and anything Maybelline.” Fool-proof purchase? “Summer Fridays. It works for men or women, young or old.” But there are three items, in particular, that would go straight in a Paige-approved gift guide—and they might not be the most obvious picks.

“I am obviously about self-care—and I hate the term glow up or whatever—but I do love doing things that [make] waking up feel so much better,” she tells Cosmo. “I’m a big mouth tape person. I really do feel like that is like such a small thing that really does help.” *Takes notes for my own stocking stuffer shopping list.*
“And I love like massive candles. Like I don’t want just, like, a regular size candle,” she adds. “I really feel like when someone gets you one of those huge ones, you’re like, this actually adds to the quality of my life.”
Another “small luxury that really does change the course of your day,” according to Paige? Fancy soap. “I saw a girl on TikTok and she made a video, and it was about, like, small luxury things that she buys that improve her everyday life. I just thought that was so smart. And one of her things was she loves buying luxury hand soap, so that like when people come over and they use her bathrooms, or like if she needs a little pick me up,” she explains. “You just get like a random whiff of—like it feels rich and you smell rich.”
She makes a really good case for the gift, too: “I actually think that’s a really good Christmas gift. Because you’re not buying yourself $80 hand soap.” But you most certainly would for a loved one!
