After just three episodes, House of the Dragon – HBO’s prequel to Game of Thrones – is causing an unusual spike in search traffic.
Travellers are being inspired to visit the TV shot’s filming locations in the UK, reigniting searches for the franchise’s ever popular filming locations.
Data from Google Trends shows that since the first episode of House of the Dragon aired in August, searches for “House of the Dragon filming locations” increased by 536 per cent globally. Searches for “Game of Thrones filming locations” also grew by 153 per cent in the past 12 months.
