Infamous UES penthouse hits market for third time in a dozen years

One of the more infamous apartments of modern times is looking for a buyer—again.

Bernie Madoff’s penthouse, where the disgraced financier was arrested in 2008 in connection with bilking investors of billions of dollars and where he spent his last few months before reporting to prison in 2009, is on the market for $18.5 million.

Whether the subsequent buyers never warmed to Penthouse S/No. 11C at 133 E. 64th St. or it’s simply dogged by bad karma, the Lenox Hill duplex co-op seems to have a hard time keeping owners.
