Police are searching for a missing Long Island mother and her 1-year-old son, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
The baby, Diego Sierra-Flores, was last seen at his home on April 1 in Hempstead. He was reported missing on April 6, cops said on Thursday.
Diego is believed to be with his mother, 25-year-old Yansis Sierra-Mejia.
The two may have traveled to Virginia, police said.
Police described Diego as about 2 feet tall and approximately 25 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Sierra-Mejia is described as 5 feet and 4 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes with an unknown clothing
