Manhattan’s office market ended last year on a strong note, with the top four leases by square footage closing in the third and fourth quarters. The fifth-largest deal of the year by square footage closed in the first half of the year and was for the the Department of Citywide Administrative Services office at 60 Broad St. in the Financial District.
Of the top 50 deals on the list, 30 were new leases, 11 were renewals and nine were renewals and expansions. The Interpublic Group of Companies office space at 100 W. 33rd St., which closed in the third quarter, was the largest deal by square footage. The largest
