Two days after Mayor Adams promised news on ending vaccine passports, he has none

Days after suggesting that New York City would have a plan for ending vaccine passports within “the next day or so,” Mayor Eric Adams has come out with no further information about when and how to sunset the program. 

Known as Key to NYC, the rule prohibits anyone 5 and up who has not completed their Covid-19 vaccination from entering an indoor venue such as a restaurant, gym or movie theater.

The lack of an update comes as states and cities around the country and the world scrap some or all of their Covid-19 restrictions. Many of the small handful of American cities that ever adopted vaccine passports—including Chicago,
