Beatty: Rogers’ public apology for crude comment followed maskless, ‘mumbled’ floor exchange

Congressional Black Caucus Chair Rep. Joyce Beatty said on Wednesday that she had accepted Rep. Hal Rogers’ apology in response to allegations of workplace harassment. But she also expressed “concerns” that she would have been treated differently by the veteran lawmaker if she were not a Black woman.
