Office landlords who are scared their tenants won’t return have already spent millions on upgrading their buildings to lure people back.
They’ve invested in fitness studios, restaurants, roof decks and even contactless food delivery for all tenants—part of a trend called the flight to quality.
“Now more than ever we are going to make every effort possible to demonstrate leadership in the industry by giving workers every reason to want to be in the office,” SL Green CEO Marc Holliday said on a recent earnings call.
