The next leader of Tech:NYC will be Jason Clark, a lawyer and recent candidate for the City Council, the industry group said Wednesday.
Clark, 39, is scheduled to assume the executive director role Jan. 24. He takes over from Julie Samuels, who has led the nonprofit since its founding six years ago.
Tech:NYC has about 800 members, ranging from small startups to tech giants Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft.
Born and raised in Queens, Clark currently leads the civil and commercial litigation team at law firm Hamilton Clarke. He has served as an assistant state attorney general, overseeing litigation out of the Harlem regional office, and as
