COVID closes 'Nutcracker,' 'Ain't Too Proud' and sidelines 'Music Man' Hugh Jackman

NEW YORK — The New York City Ballet is canceling the remaining performances of “The Nutcracker.”

The famed ballet was scheduled to run through Sunday but has been forced to cancel due to additional positive COVID test results among production. 

Thirty performances have been held in recent weeks. 

The ballet says anyone with a ticket for upcoming shows can receive a full refund or make a charitable donation in the amount of the value of their tickets.

Over on Broadway, the musical “Ain’t Too Proud” announced it is closing for good in January.
