New Yorkers might no longer need to take a Path train to New Jersey on Super Bowl Sunday to place legal bets on the big game.
New mobile sports betting infrastructure is expected to be up and running by next month, according to two legislators responsible for the original bills in Albany. They said the final selection of computer server sites upstate is on schedule, allowing them to receive mobile sports bets by Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 13. Legalized mobile sports betting was part of New York’s April 2021 budget.
