The Metropolitan Museum of Art has reduced capacity in the wake of the surge of the omicron COVID-19 variant, the museum announced Tuesday.
In a tweet, the Met Museum said the capacity reductions went into effect Tuesday.
In light of the current surge of COVID cases in New York City, effective today, Tuesday, December 21, The Met will reduce visitor capacity, and starting Thursday, December 23, dining will be closed.
Masks and proof of vaccination remain required.
