It’s been a month since international tourists have been allowed to return to the U.S., and the city’s businesses are welcoming them with open arms.
Anecdotal evidence suggests that they are flocking back to New York, and local arts and cultural institutions, which usually see a boost from foreign travelers, are reaping the benefits. The Broadway League has found that capacity at plays and musicals has averaged about 83% since they were allowed back Nov. 8.
