Riding along the bike path along Hudson River Park in New York City, you come to a sudden and unexpected stop at 13th street because there, right over the river, is a new free almost three-acre public park like nothing you have ever see. Called Little Island, the park opened this May after seven years of planning and a $260 million donation by media mogul, Barry Diller.
