Passenger excited about Avelo Air’s low-cost service have described travel on the start-up’s refreshed 737s as a ‘little bit of heaven.’ Now the airline is actually offering service out of HVN—-not the heavenly paradise, but Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN).
The HVN-ly service (OK, I will stop now) expands Avelo’s reach to the U.S. East Coast. The first new U.S. airline in 15 years, Avelo has been flying to nine destinations across the U.S. West from Burbank, CA since April 28. With New Haven as its East Coast hub, Avelo will now be the first airline to offer nonstop flights between HVN and Florida.
