Beleaguered real estate attorney Mitchell Kossoff is embroiled in nearly a dozen lawsuits after disappearing with more than $8 million of his clients’ money, court papers show.
No one, including his staff or clients, has seen or heard from him since at least April. The missing attorney has not been cooperating with the court, which has demanded that his firm turn over financial documents related to the stolen funds that are supposedly stuck in various escrow accounts. Kossoff’s mother claimed in an affidavit that he had forged her signature to get approval for millions of dollars in loans, which have gone unpaid.
