Manhattan’s Upper East Side may have a reputation as one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in New York, but it is also one of the best places in the city for first-time buyers, according to a new study from StreetEasy.
The neighborhood is one of 10 in the city that the study ranked as having the most homes that were accessible to first-time buyers. The study focused on places that would be affordable for New Yorkers between the ages 25 and 44 who earn the city’s median annual income of $70,406, per census data.
