Straphanger randomly shoved onto Brooklyn subway tracks, fractures spine: cops

A stranger randomly shoved a straphanger onto Brooklyn subway tracks over the weekend — leaving him with a fractured spine and ribs, cops said. 

Cops released footage late Tuesday of the shover leaving the Atlantic Avenue station just after pushing the 45-year-old victim onto the southbound tracks around 5 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

Both the victim and the suspect had just gotten off a northbound 4 train.

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition, with rib and spinal fractures, police said. 

The two did not appear to interact on the train before the attack, cops said.
