The owner of an 80-pound cougar rescued from a Bronx home opened up about the strange ordeal on Tuesday — telling The Post she is “grieving” over the wild animal’s surrender, but acknowledged the big cat is now in a better place.
The sentiments shared by Miranda Rodriguez over the loss of Sasha, an 11-month-old puma, came as the animal was en route from The Big Apple to the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Rodriguez said she co-owned Sasha and referred to the cougar as her only “pet.”
