Parolee busted for slashing boy during NYC bodega robbery

A man on parole was arrested Wednesday for allegedly slashing an 11-year-old boy during a robbery at a Manhattan bodega last week, police sources said.

Hector Diaz, 57, allegedly shoplifted a number of items then cut the victim’s right hand after he was confronted by a worker at the bodega on Avenue D in Alphabet City just after 12:15 p.m. last Wednesday, sources said.

The boy, who is the nephew of the clerk, was taken to Bellevue Hospital for minor injuries, police have said.
