NJ cop rescues stranded motorist from flash flood

A New Jersey police officer saved a woman who was swept away in the floodwaters when the remnants of Hurricane Ida tore through the tri-state area.

The dramatic water rescue was caught on police bodycam footage.

Officer Justin Quinlan used a guard rail to navigate waist-high floods and rescue a woman trapped in a fast moving water after being forced from her car.

“Hold on dear, don’t move, okay,” Quinlan is heard telling the woman as he inched his way through the deluge to come to her aid.
