Billionaire Ron Burkle has scooped up a famed Lower Manhattan property from Clarion Partners for $155 million.
Clarion in 2015 had purchased a 70% stake in the 14-story American Stock Exchange Building at 86 Trinity Place from GHC Development for $105 million. Burkle’s firm the Yucaipa Cos. has now purchased it from Clarion, property records show. It was not immediately clear whether Yucaipa bought the entire building or just Clarion’s stake and whether GHC still owned a stake in the property.
Representatives for Yucaipa did not respond to a request for comment. Clarion representatives declined to comment.
