The Legal Aid Society, the country’s largest provider of free legal services to low-income New Yorkers, is squeezing its four Manhattan offices into a 200,000-square-foot space at the Merchants Square Building in Tribeca.
That’s a 20,000-square-foot trim.
The legal aid provider already occupies 75,000 square feet in the building at 40 Worth St., but the nonprofit will give up its spaces at 123 Williams St, 199 Water St. and 80 Pine St. to move into the new location by the fourth quarter of 2022.
