Hospital for Special Surgery on Monday opened the doors to HSS Midtown.
The clinic at 770 Lexington Ave. occupies four floors in the 20-story building. It has a footprint of more than 28,000 square feet and costs $14.6 million. It contains 16 examination rooms, two digital X-rays and an entire floor dedicated to a gym for rehabilitation services.
“This facility was opened to provide an additional access point and increased convenience for patients with musculoskeletal conditions,” said Dr. Joel Press, physiatrist in chief of HSS. The project had been planned for several years, he added.
