Four teams of finalists have been selected by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to submit bids for its $2 billion LaGuardia AirTrain project.
The proposal, which was approved by the FAA this past July, promises a 30-minute rail link between Midtown and the Queens airport.
In March, the Port Authority announced a request for qualifications from firms interested in managing the work. Following a review, the agency selected four teams that will be required to submit their bids by April 2022.
A winner will be announced next summer.
