Eric Adams to talk inauguration plans with health officials as COVID surges

Mayor-elect Eric Adams is planning to meet with health officials Friday to discuss his current plans for indoor inaugural festivities in January amid a spike in new COVID cases and the surging Omicron variant.

His transition team previously announced plans to host the festivities at the historic Kings Theater in Brooklyn, in contrast to previous inaugural ceremonies held outdoors on New Years Day in typically frigid January weather.
