Adams leads hopefuls in recent fundraising, with Yang close behind

Preliminary fundraising disclosures in the New York mayoral primary reveal Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams raised the most—close to $1 million—in the past two months, as public polling shows him closing the gap on front-runner Andrew Yang.

Adams’ total with matching funds is $1.6 million.

Publicly financed campaigns such as Adams’ are eligible for an 8-to-1 dollar match from the Campaign Finance Board for every contribution below $250. Through the matching funds system, the Adams campaign claims it has raised close to $11 million during the course of the campaign.
