A taste of normal: October's event calendar is filled with food festivals

Brett Friedman will stand at the entrance to ​​Taste of the Upper West Side, a food festival that takes place the first week in October, to pump hand sanitizer into attendees’ hands, a signal of the safety protocols the event has put in place.

“People want to go back and live life, but they want to do it safely,” said Friedman, who is the chief executive officer of Agency 21, the Miami-based experiential marketing firm that is behind Taste, a neighborhood event that raises funds for the local schools, the business district, and some of the events at the New York City Wine & Food Festival.
