‘Latinx Abstract’ Exhibition At BRIC Challenges History Of Abstract Art In America

Leading arts and media institution of the last 40 years, BRIC, will present Latinx Abstract, beginning January 21st and running until May 2, 2021. The groundbreaking exhibition acknowledges the exclusion of Latinx artists within America’s abstract art history and explores how it could expand. It will focus on ten cross-generational contemporary artists: Candida Alvarez, Karlos Carcamo, Maria Chavez, Alejandro Guzman, Glendalys Medina, Freddy Rodriguez, Fanny Sanín, Mary Valverde, Vargas-Suarez Universal, and Sarah Zapata.
