Vogue termed the location as ‘dramatic’ and dramatic it was for LaQuan Smith’s fashion house. The spring summer 2021 New York Fashion Week shows haven’t disappointed and tonight Queens born designer LaQuan Smith welcomed guests eighty-six floors up to view his newest collection. The Empire State Building penetrates the New York City skyline and for a time was the tallest building in the world, and tonight the building chose to partner with the designer in its first ever fashion show that has ever taken place. Entering the almost one-hundred-year-old edifice, guests were met with an orchestra playing New York themed hits, like Frank Sinatra’s New York.
