Beautiful Trash: Streetwear Brand TASOU Drops ‘The Active Self,’ With Looks Created From Recycled Bottles

A collection inspired by the ancient civilization of Benin. Nigerian, Bronx-based designer and artist Chuks Collins has just dropped his lifestyle and streetwear brand, The Athletic Side of Us, known as TASOU’s, capsule collection called The Active Self. Not missing is the brand’s iconic graffiti print inspired by the Bronx and his native Nigeria.

“My idea was to do something very forward and comfortable that’s easy to wear,” shares Collins in notes from the brand. He has designed and created looks for actors from Kerry Washington to Trevor Jackson, as well as Quincy. Collins is totally in tune with streetwear looks that young people are drawn to,
