Los Angeles approves goal of 100 percent clean energy by 2035
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles City Council unanimously voted to move the entire city to 100 percent renewable-generated electricity by 2035, 10 years ahead of its original timetable. That will come through a mixture of electricity generated by wind and solar, batteries, hydrogen to replace fossil fuels and the city’s natural gas plants.
